Sunday Post & Book Blog Hop #3

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

So this week has been a doozy. Work has been crazy hectic and the kids have been a bit of a handful so didn’t get as much read as I would have liked –

I am going to start my week off by Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga’s Book reviews & Reading Reality – Yes I know this is a Saturday post, but we did a bit of an illegal visit with our family yesterday as the kids haven’t seen their grand parents in 7 weeks due to the quarantine and things were getting a bit desperate.

I had a busy week on my KU. I finished most of the books on it a while ago and haven’t really filled up again till this week:

Well I did manage to finish the Hidden Kingdom Trilogy by Lisa Rose. It was bloody (pun intended) amazing. The review for the first book is up here somewhere if your interested in checking it out.

I’ve also received an ARC of The Wind Mage (Part 1) by Gina Manis. Really looking forward to getting started

Additional Read for Review – The Family: An Introduction by The Saint.

I’ve also managed to keep up with a few meme’s on my Tuesday and Friday posts.

Next up for me is Wolf Hunted by Sadie Moss… It’s really heating up and I cannot wait to get into it a little deeper, afterwards I will tackle my ARC and Read for Reviews and cannot wait to share that with you!

How it works:

  1. Post an answer to the weekly question
  2. Link up to the post on the lovely Ramblings of a coffee addicted writer
  3. Visit a few other posts – make some new friends, follow a few folks and maybe have some visitors fly by your very own blog.

This week’s question:

Well – obviously – wordpress. In the spirit of fairness – I used wordpress for years. Came back and found that my original blog unfortunately had been suspended due to some content being considered as spam … ooops… I gave the reboot of my blog a try on blogger – and not hating on it here – but didn’t find it satisfactory, maybes because I grew so used to the wordpress way of things.

What platform do you use? Have you tried others?

Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe 🙂

  1. I actually originally started out on Blogger, Angelique, but got frustrated with the restrictions and was tempted away to with all their widgets, customisation options and formatting in 2017.
On 30th April I decided to go down the self-hosting route and found an affordable deal – Flora’s Musings is now a self-hosted blog! 💜😊
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, stay safe and healthy.
    Here’s my BBH Post

  2. My reading has been down lately with everything going on, although I did get through two books this week. That was a big improvement over the last few weeks! And I hear you on the visiting- it is so hard when you can’t get together with loved ones! I saw my mom today (very carefully with social distancing) for the first time in almost two months! It is crazy…

Hope you have a great week!

  3. Thanks for stopping by my website! I did have a Blogger but only to mirror my website. In fact I’ve never published over there (I cross-posted only). I’m just used to wordpress so why change if I’m good with what it offers, right? 😀

    Take care!
