The Sacrifices We Make
by Mila Sin
A funeral, a murder, and a wedding.
A King still sits at the head of the table, but it’s time for a Queen to take over.
After all, everyone knows she’s the most powerful on the board.
All sides are laying their pieces on the playing field, making alliances, and maneuvering pawns into place when a new player slinks out from the shadows to join the game. Let’s just hope our new allies know how to play.
The only question is, what am I willing to lose to get what I want? Is there a price too high?
Because to take a King, everyone must make sacrifices.
The Sacrifices We Make is a full-length reverse harem novel and is the second in the Maven of Mayhem Series, and it is advised to read The Secrets We Keep first. It is a why-choose romance, meaning our leading lady has multiple love interests and does not have to choose to find her happily ever after. Please be advised there are graphic scenes of violence and sex that may offend some readers. Proceed with caution.
This is book two of three in the series.
So let us start off by saying…
Did you know this is only Mila Sin’s second book?
Because reading it – I would never have guessed. When ever reading a new author’s book you are always prepared for some iffy bits, but Mila Sin’s books read like a seasoned author’s books.
Her characters are well fleshed out, her story line is dark, twisty and evenly balanced with lovely romancy bits and she has a way with a cliff hanger that takes your breath away.
Her writing style is incredibly unique in such a way that her characters reach out of the book and grab you into their world without letting you go until they are satisfied that your life has been completely turned upside down. I experienced joy, fear, heart break and an incredibly fast racing heart.
Added to this (even though this is more then enough already) we are spoilt with really HOT steamy scenes. This is another RH (Surprise Suprise) so be prepared to have your main girl shared between all her men and even see her share the men too…
A fantastic read from beginning to end and I cannot wait to read the last book in the trilogy.
